What is Invisalign® Go?

Invisalign® Go is a new simplified approach to teeth straightening with clear aligner technology. Each set of aligners is custom made to fit patient’s teeth, engineered for comfort and ease. Because the aligners are nearly invisible when worn, patients can undergo treatment with little worry that people notice the aligners.

Unlike fixed braces, Invisalign aligners can be removed at any time, so patients are able to maintain good oral hygiene and eat what they like throughout the treatment.
Invisalign GO is available as single arch or dual arch treatment.

The Journey:

1) Initial Consultation
This can be arranged as a free virtual consultation or a face-to-face appointment. Following a virtual consultation, we would need to see you for a complimentary visit in the practice to assess eligibility.

2) Planning Phase
Photos, impressions and x-rays are taken and following prescription by Dr Gosal are sent to Invisalign to produce a computer simulation of what your teeth will look like at the end of treatment. This can then be viewed by yourself and once happy will be used to make your aligners!

3) Aligner Phase
Once your aligners have been manufactured by Invisalign® you will be seen at the practice to have your aligners fitted and to start your journey. We will need to see you at the practice every 4-6 weeks to monitor your tooth movements and treatment progress.

4) Post Treatment Phase
At the end of the treatment, we will give your teeth a clean and polish and before starting your whitening you will be fitted with a retainer (either removable, fixed or both following discussion with Dr Gosal) and will need to have a retainer for life to ensure your teeth stay beautifully straight.

FAQ’s:

How much will it cost?
The fee for a single arch (upper or lower) is £2800 and for both is £4500. This includes the cost of retainers at the end of treatment and also free whitening worth £295.

How long will it take?
Treatment time can vary depending on the tooth movements required. On average total treatment time usually takes 6-9 months.

 
Will it hurt?
Wearing the aligners is painless. There may be a very slight feeling of pressure or discomfort on certain teeth for a few hours or up to a day or two each time the aligners are changed. This is a sign that the aligners are working.

How long will I need to wear the aligners?
The aligners need to be worn for a minimum of 22 hours per day. This allows enough time to remove the aligners to enjoy meals and to clean your teeth.
